Funerals and Bereavement

Picture6At moments of deepest sadness and loss, we need people to turn to who will help us through the details and emotions we face. We will help you with the service you choose, and lead you through that process. We will be there to talk with you, listen to you, and pray for you. The church can be a place of peace and comfort, a place to draw near to God and receive His reassurance. If you want to spend time in church, please ask.

The greatest comfort we can have is knowing that we are held close in God’s hands. The Psalmist encourages all who walk through the valley of the shadow of death with words we know so well – words which remind us of God’s presence with us in our sadness.

If you want to talk to someone about your loss, please contact the clergy, or the pastoral care team:

There is a helpful summary of the bereavement process on this website. It also offers a counselling directory, but we have no personal experience of these counsellors. However, you may find their services helpful.
